PTFE Zone Tapes are specialised products made from fibreglass fabric coated with PTFE (Teflon). They are characterised by having adhesive only on the side edges, leaving a central area free of adhesive. This makes them ideal for the packaging and heat-sealing industries, combining the excellent non-stick properties of PTFE with practical and efficient adhesion. 

 CHARACTERISTICS

- Adhesive-free central zone: With customisable widths, allowing for optimal heat transfer without interference.

- Adhesive on the edges: Pressure-sensitive silicone (up to 260°C continuous). 

- Material: PTFE fibreglass fabric.

- Thickness: 0.13 mm

APPLICATIONS

- These tapes are mainly used as a protective cover on heating elements in impulse sealing machines and L-sealers. 

- The adhesive-free central area comes into direct contact with the plastic films, facilitating a clean, uniform and efficient seal, whilst the adhesive on the edges firmly secures the tape to the sealing head. 

- They are used in the flexible packaging industry for packaging food, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods. 

- They protect delicate components such as silicone sponges, reduce maintenance and extend the service life of the machines by preventing molten plastics from sticking to the heating element.
