PC28 HEAT ACTIVE VELCRO® FOR FABRICS: HIGH FREQUENCY ULTRASONIC

Are you looking for a velcro tape with high adhesion? Do you have promotional material for outdoor use? Our weldable hook and loop tape could be your lifesaver.

HF weldable velcro tape is often used for bonding specific fabrics such as vinyl or other plastic applications that need to be securely fastened. HF stands for high frequency, or ultrasonic, welding technique designed for permanent adhesion to the material.

This type of hook and loop fastener has a special adhesive film and therefore has to be bonded to your application using an ultrasonic welding machine. The hook tape (hard side) and the loop tape (soft side) are purchased separately.

CHARACTERISTICS

- Material: Polyurethane based thermoplastic adhesive film.

- Colour: Transparent.

- Performance temperature: -30 ºC to 100 ºC.

- Activation temperature: 20 ºC

- Resistant to water and humidity.

- Very good resistance to PVC plasticisers.

- Produces a highly secure seal ready to be used on a multitude of occasions.

- Very easy to close with a single press.

- Adjustable and repositionable. The joints can be rectified at any time.

- Reusable. Can be opened/closed several hundred times.

- Available in various sizes and colours.

ADHESIÓN

- Very good adhesion to:

1. Wood products: paper, cardboard, wood and cork.
2. Fabric/Nonwoven/Felt: cotton, PA, PES, aramid and glass.
3. Foamed plastics: PVC, PUR and polystyrene.
4. Plastics: Polycarbonates, ABS and PVC.

- Good adhesion to:

1. Fabric/Nonwoven/Felt: Wool.
2. Plastics: PA, PES, Plexiglas, rubber and neoprene.

- No adhesion to: Metals and aluminium.

SURFACES

- Must be free of oil, grease, dust, moisture, loose particles, silicone and certain plasticisers.

- Must not be uneven, brittle, soft or unstable, must not have worn paint or coatings.

ACTIVACIÓN ADHESIVO

- Heat: Ultrasonic, high frequency or hot air.

- Solvent: Acetone or Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) at 80% purity.
