When efficiency and robustness are essential, printer's friend 4863 tape from tesa is a key resource. Designed to enhance roller performance, this solution combines durability and versatility to meet industrial challenges.

CHARACTERISTICS

- Textured coating that improves grip and repels adhesions

-
Flexible material that withstands extreme temperature conditions

-
Durable adhesive that ensures stable fixation and easy removal

- Available in other sizes.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 4863 AND 4563

- Tesa 4863 has an embossed texture (with dimples), which maximises grip on slippery materials, making it preferable for environments with higher friction such as thick textiles.

- Tesa 4563 has a smooth surface, optimised for uniform contact and gentle repulsion of adhesives, ideal for delicate substrates such as plastic films.

- 4863 withstands slightly more abrasion cycles (>600 vs. >500), but 4563 offers slightly higher initial adhesion (~20 N/25 mm vs. ~18 N/25 mm).

- In terms of thickness and thermal tolerance, 4863 is marginally more robust (0.35 mm and 85°C), while 4563 prioritises smoothness for high-speed applications.

APPLICATIONS

- Label production: Covers press rollers to maintain precise alignment during long runs of adhesive label printing, preventing misalignment.

- Synthetic fabric manufacturing:
Used on press rollers to repel resins and ensure constant tension in the manufacture of technical fabrics, such as those used in sportswear.

- Plastic film processing:
Protects extrusion rollers against polymer build-up, allowing continuous feed at speeds of up to 110 m/min without interruption.

- Continuous paper manufacturing:
Optimises rollers in winding machines, resisting moisture and wear for uninterrupted flow in the production of industrial paper rolls.
