Designed as a high performance specialty packaging tape, Scotch® 8959 Bidirectional Filament Tape combines a durable reinforced polypropylene backing with a bidirectional fiberglass weft and synthetic rubber resin adhesive.

Our high performance tape has been specially designed to offer excellent adhesion on a wide variety of surfaces including metal, plastic and chipboard.

Its multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive system prevents delamination and, at the same time, prevents tearing of the adhesive tape.

Scotch 8959 bi-directional filament tape is an ideal choice for heavy-duty box reinforcing, high-efficiency sealing, mailing, splicing and palletizing.

Built to resist. Scotch 8959 bidirectional filament tape is reinforced with continuous glass fibers in both the transverse and longitudinal directions along with a biaxially oriented polypropylene backing.

The multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive prevents the fiberglass from delaminating from the reverse side.

Being translucent, it is possible to read marks, codes and other indications through the tape.

Its applications include the closing and sealing of boxes, packaging, clamping, fixing and grouping in general.

It is applied with a portable dispenser or a fixed dispenser of predefined length.
