Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) tape in translucent color with a 5.0 mil polypropylene backing and a Rubber Resin-based adhesive. It has a paper liner, and is resistant to temperatures ranging from -30°C to 225°F.

3M Tape 5421 helps protect plastics and metals, rails, and containers from wear. Possessing a low coefficient of friction combined with resistance to abrasion, it is a very effective tape for many noise and vibration problems.

Highly durable, abrasion resistant, easy to cut, low coefficient of friction, "Self Lubricating".

Significantly reduces friction, useful for damping noise caused by vibration or friction, chemical resistant, high strength chemical barrier and abrasion resistant.

It is therefore a protective, anti-abrasive, sliding, high-density, anti-friction, and self-lubricating tape.

 3M 5421 is a tape whose main use is to protect against abrasion on assembly lines, and to avoid friction noise, and with it we achieve better sliding on assembly lines, reduce noise and wear on such slides, and protect the edges where friction occurs.
