Double-sided adhesive tape for splicing plastic film reels on the fly.

This double-sided adhesive tape is used for automatic splicing on plastic coil splices. It is the Flying Splice tape, 3M 7387, (later and improving on 3M 8387), and it is special for use on surfaces with low surface energy (plastics).

New improved tape with respect to the previous 3M 8387, since being made of paper it can be torn by hand, and it also has a very competitive price.

 Its characteristics are that it has a paper support on the lower side and rubber on the upper side, it has a total thickness of 0.337 mm, a shelf life of 12 months, and a construction similar to the Azure ones.

 The new 3M 7387 tape has many advantages:

- Good adhesion to difficult surfaces like LDPE. It has been tested on a wide variety of substrates including polyethylene, PP, polyester, aluminum, and paper.

- It makes reliable splices over time, at temperatures that plastics resist and with speed (from 100 meters to 600 meters per minute).

- The ribbon does not leave fibers that can contaminate the rollers or the printer (competitive products can release fibers that get stuck in the machines and cause cleaning stops).

- It is suitable for Comexi, Windmoller, Rotiflex, Olimpya, Holscher machines.

- All tape has adhesive.

- As it is made of paper, it can be torn by hand, so you do not have to use a cutter or scissors.

- It is easy to use and easy to apply.
