V-2 SIGN. REFLECTIVE TAPE FOR VEHICLES AND CRANES - ECE HOMOLOGATION 104

The V-2 sign is MANDATORY in the following cases:

- Vehicles performing services on the road: Cranes, gondolas and other vehicles working on the road at low speed or parked.

- Special transport vehicles: Vehicles carrying special or oversized loads, including their pilot or escort vehicles.

- Event escort vehicles: Sporting events, cycle marches, military columns, and other special events.

- Exceptional situation vehicles: Transport of dangerous goods.




 

WHERE SHOULD I APPLY THE TAPE?

In the box you will find 2 rolls of 140mm both rolls of the same length: 1 left and 1 right.

It must be placed on at least one third of the vehicle regardless of the type, forming an inverted V shape, peak upwards, both front and rear, and respecting the direction on the sides, place the tape up to a maximum height of 55 cm.

 

1. Trucks and trailers:

Gondolas, special transport and accompanying vehicles for these, dangerous goods vehicles.

Front: On the nose of the vehicle.

Side: Along the entire length of the vehicle, on the underside, as well as on the side of the cab (under the door and on the side of the nose).

Rear: Along the entire contour of the rear.

 

2. Roadside assistance vehicles:

These vehicles are obliged to use both the V-2 sign (823i from 3M) and the yellow or white V-23 sign (consult your ITV for the colour, yellow is usually preferable) (983 from 3M).

Front: on the nose of the vehicle.

Side: on the lower sides of the platform (not on the side of the lifting platform, on the lower part of the platform, the length of the platform is reserved for placing the V-23 marking tape along its entire length).

As well as on the side of the cab, under the door and on the side of the nose.

Rear: on the rear length above the brake light, as well as, on the upper part of the rear glass rear part of the cab.


 

3. Other vehicles driving very slowly or causing an obstruction on the road or parked:

Front: on the nose of the vehicle.

Side: along the entire length of the vehicle, on the underside as well as on the side of the cab (door underside and nose side).

Rear: on the underside of the vehicle not exceeding a maximum height of 55 cm.
