3M™ Scotch® Super 88 PVC electrical tape is a premium-quality option designed for insulation work in all weather conditions. It combines a flexible polyvinyl chloride backing with a rubber-based adhesive that ensures a reliable seal against moisture, without adding significant bulk.

CHARACTERISTICS

- Performs consistently over a wide temperature range and offers good resistance to abrasion, acids, alkalis and UV exposure.

- Thickness: 0.22 mm.

- Continuous operating temperature range up to 105 °C; can be applied from -18 °C.

- High adhesion to both steel and its own backing, even when cold.

- Rated voltage of 600 V (according to UL 510), dielectric breakdown of 10 kV under normal conditions.

- UL, CSA and VDE approvals (IEC 60454-3-1-7/F-PVC P/90)

- Flame retardant

- Compatible with solid dielectric insulation, rubber or synthetic joint compounds, and epoxy or polyurethane resins. Inhibits conductor corrosion.

APPLICATIONS

- Primary electrical insulation for cable joints and conductors up to 600 volts and 105 °C, both indoors and outdoors.

- Protective sheathing for high-voltage cable joints and repairs.

- Securing and bundling cable harnesses, providing additional mechanical protection against abrasion and moisture.
