Adhesive tape for the protection of boats, it is special for sealing, profiling, repairing or splicing the Heat Shrinkable Film with which boats, planes, trains, trucks or other elements are encapsulated for transportation or prolonged storage outdoors.

Shrink wrapping consists of using a highly effective plastic film to cover boats during winter, storage, transportation or repairs, using a thermoplastic capable of shrinking and tightening with the application of heat. In this way, a tight “cover” is achieved over the boat that remains taut.

Using shrink film, we can keep our boat in perfect condition even during long periods of inactivity. This protective plastic barrier protects against dirt, dust, bird droppings and the damaging effects of wind, rain and harmful UV rays.

Plastic film comes in rolls with a width usually insufficient to cover an entire boat, unless it is small. By gluing several plastic bands we get the width and shape we need. Once glued, we must begin shrink-wrapping, which consists of heating the sheet with a heat gun. That's what you do with this adhesive tape. This tape also allows the film to be adhered to the hull of the boat to create a watertight bubble.

You should not use masking or painter's tape for these purposes as the heat will melt it and damage the hull of the boat.

The tape can also be used to repair holes in plastic.

On the other hand, this tape allows the boat to be shrink-wrapped while it is still afloat, without having to take it out of the water, thus achieving greater care for our boat.
